Steps to create ACL Package
1. Login in Author as Admin.Go to Tools and check if “ACS AEM Commons” Option is available below:
2. If Available, then click on Content Packagers. Else download package from below link and install it in author to get this option and post installing when this option is visible click on Content Packagers.
Else if ACS AEM Commons is available but Content Packagers is not present means, it has older version of ACS Commons installed where option was not displayed in this console, so admin should directly open below page to access it:
<host-name>/miscadmin#/etc/acs-commons/packagers
3. Once redirected to below page, Create New Page from “New” Option available in toolbar.
Give any name to Page Eg: “Packagers” and select template as “ACL Packager” and click on Create button.
4. Once this page is created double click on this page to open.
5. In this page click om Edit Option.
6. Now update below configurations
Package ACL Handling: Select “Merge”
Include Patterns: Similarly like /content/.* and /etc/.*
Add following three more items /apps/.* , /libs/.* and /home/.*
Include principals: Select this checkbox to add all principals
And click on “OK” button
7. Now click on “Create Package” button to create a package
It will display message as Success and provide link of new package location.
Click on that link to navigate to created package.
8. Now click on “Build” option for this package
Now download this package and its ready to be shared.
